Delali Adogla-Bessa

Delali Adogla-Bessa is a freelance journalist, researcher, and photographer based in Ghana. He has written on governance, health, education, the environment, the cocoa value chain and film, among others. Delali has produced work for The Continent, SWI Swissinfo, Africa is a Country, Equal Times and UNESCO. 

His first paycheck: My first job after national service was as a journalist with the new media wing of Citi FM in Accra. As an entry level journalist in 2015, I made 1,000 cedis per month. Not as much as I would have wished, but this was by far the most money I had gotten at a go and was thrilled to be working in my dream career.
