Annam Lodhi

Annam Lodhi is a freelance journalist based in Islamabad, Pakistan. Working since 2013, Annam won the AGAHI Award for data journalism in 2020. Her work focuses on human rights, tech and culture, usually through a gendered lens. She has been published in The African Report, Ozy, Diplomat, Eureka Street, Dawn, among other publications. Her first paycheck: “I received my first paycheck when I was a young teenager. The pay was merely enough to reimburse my commute to work every day, but it was the first time I had money that was my very own. I bought gifts for my family with them and used them to buy chocolates.”
